South - Marae Facilities - Round 2 2013/2014

Criteria

This fund supports Marae facility projects including:

• capital works
• new builds
• refurbishments
• maintenance and other works required for safe and healthy Marae facilities.

Further information from applicants to establish legal status, land rights, financial accountability, project accountability/viability and management is also required.

Who can apply?

To be eligible an applicant Marae must:

• be a Marae in the Franklin, Howick, Mangere-Otahuhu, Manurewa, Otara-Papatoetoe or Papakura local board areas or proposed to be established in one of these areas;
• have the full support of the Marae governance body;
• have a minimum 10 per cent contribution to the total project cost; and
• provide a feasibility study for projects over $50,000.

When funding is available

There will be two rounds of funding for 2013/2014. The first round will open on 1 June and close on 28 June 2013. The second round will close on 28 February 2014.
