We are excited to bring you the Auckland Council World of Cultures Fund, which is open to all World of Cultures 2026 Contributors. Events funded by the Festival must support the festival priorities, align with the Auckland Plan, and demonstrate effective use of ratepayer funds.
Contributors can apply for grants up to $1000.
Funding outcomes:
The grant is open to applicants who are delivering Auckland based projects and events as part of World of Cultures 2026.
Auckland Council World of Cultures Fund will go towards:
• Enhancing & enriching World of Cultures events
• Building community capacity to deliver events
• Removing financial barriers from contributors who were unable to apply previously
What can the fund be spent on?
Funding can be spent on resources or services that support the event on offer.
Some examples include, ingredients for a cooking class, materials for a craft workshop, a minibus to transport people to different cultural sites or using the funds for marketing or social media.
Applications are invited from individuals, not-for-profit, incorporated societies, charitable and voluntary organisations who have a project idea that will meet the fund outcomes (as listed above).

Promotional support
- Council has a number of channels where your event will be promoted free of charge as part of the World of Cultures Festival, this information and how else you can promote the event will be emailed to you.
