The Puketāpapa Local Board has allocated a small amount of funding to support communities to celebrate Neighbours Day. Applicants can apply for funds up to $200.00 if activities meet the grant criteria.

Eligibility criteria

  • Must be a resident of the Puketāpapa Local Board area
  • Activity or event must involve ten or more households or apartment flats on the same street or apartment building
  • Funding cannot be used for the purchase of alcohol
  • Event intends to meet the Neighbours Day goal of turning strangers into neighbours and turning streets into neighbourhoods
  • Event must take place within the Puketāpapa Local Board area

Accountability: Applicants must be able to take photos of the event and provide this to Auckland Council by 13 April 2024, along with a brief summary of the event’s success.
