North - Community Grants Fund, 2014/2015

Criteria

This fund is designed to support and promote existing and potential social service, recreational and community organisations at the local level.

Who can apply?

Existing and aspirational social service, recreational and community organisations based within the Rodney Local Board Area, or the Hibiscus Coast Subdivision of the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board can apply for funds for the benefit of these communities.

Groups that do not have legal status (i.e. are an incorporated society or registered charitable trust) must apply under the umbrella of an organisation that does.

When funding is available

This is the only funding round for 2014/2015. It opened on 1 June and will close on 15 July 2014, 5pm.

Fund guidelines

The expected benefits of the council providing community grants include:

  • encouraging more community based and led initiatives
  • improving community spirit and connectivity
  • supporting a wide and diverse range of activities
  • promoting volunteering and social investment
  • strengthening of the relationship between the Council and the community.
