Kaipatiki Local Board Community Group Funding - 2014/2015 Round 1
Applicants are encouraged to read the relevant Local Board Plan before submitting an application. You will be asked to identify how your project aligns with the local board’s priorities. Local board plans can be ordered from the call centre on (09) 301 0101, picked up from your local library or Council service centre or viewed online at www.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz/localboardplans
The Kaipatiki Local Board recognises the vital role that community groups and organisations play in developing strong, sustainable communities. The Local Board Community Discretionary Grant aims to assist groups to provide activities, projects, programmes, initiatives, and events that make a positive contribution within our local board area.
Objectives
Through community grants, the Kaipatiki Local Board aims to:
- Support vibrant local communities

Ensure a wide range of community activities, projects, programmes, initiatives and events are supported at a local level

Provide seed funding to make things happen in community development

Support proposals that align with the Kaipatiki Local Board Plan priorities and the needs identified across the Kaipatiki Local Board area
Criteria

Minimum grant amount of $500

All funds to be spent in the Kaipatiki Local Board area for the benefit of the wider Kaipatiki community

Only Charitable Trusts, Incorporated Societies and Charitable Companies are allowed to apply, (Applications can be made under an umbrella organisation for any group established for less than 1 year)

Private individuals, Schools, Churches or Commercial/Private Companies will generally be ineligible to apply,

Preference will be given to applications that primarily benefit younger or older people in the community,

The project has to be based in the Kaipatiki Local board area,
- All applicant Organisations must provide Annual Accounts
