The Albert-Eden Local Board has allocated a small amount of funding to support communities to celebrate Neighbours Day. Applicants can apply for funds up to $200.00 if activities meet the grant criteria.
Eligibility criteria
- Must be a resident of the Albert-Eden Local Board area
- Activity or event must involve ten or more households or apartment flats on the same street or apartment building
- Funding cannot be used for the purchase of alcohol
- Event intends to meet the Neighbours Day goal of turning strangers into neighbours and turning streets into neighbourhoods
- Event must take place within the Albert-Eden Local Board area
- Events must take place between 1-31st March 2025
Accountability: Applicants must be able to take photos of the event and provide this to Auckland Council by 13 April 2025, along with a brief summary of the event’s success.
